Senior Project Manager – Data Center Operations

Reports to: Project Executive

Locations: Open

Travel: Approximately 25–50% for project sites, customer meetings, manufacturing facilities, and internal coordination.

Summary of the Role

The Senior Project Manager leads the execution of Fabcon’s large, complex data center projects and campus programs from planning through completion.

The role connects customers with Design, Engineering, Scheduling, Manufacturing, Transportation, and Field Operations to ensure projects are properly planned, sequenced, and executed. The Senior PM owns project performance while helping Fabcon develop repeatable practices for delivering data center projects at increasing scale.

Key Objectives

Project Execution

• Own the execution plan for complex data center projects, including schedule, resources, sequencing, logistics, and key milestones.
• Anticipate project constraints and risks early and drive mitigation or recovery plans before they impact execution.
• Scale project leadership to the size and complexity of the assignment – directly managing smaller projects or leading one or more Project Managers across larger campus programs.

Customer & Cross-Functional Leadership

• Serve as a primary operational contact for customers, providing clear communication around progress, commitments, risks, and required decisions.
• Coordinate Design, Engineering, Scheduling, Manufacturing, Transportation, and Field Operations around a common execution plan.
• Resolve issues across functions and escalate significant risks when additional leadership support is required.

Financial & Operational Performance

• Deliver projects safely, on schedule, and profitably while meeting customer commitments.
• Maintain accurate forecasts and understand how schedule, productivity, logistics, and field decisions affect project economics.
• Identify scope changes, schedule impacts, and commercial risks early enough to protect Fabcon and the customer relationship.

Continuous Improvement

• Mentor Project Managers and project support staff while building capability to manage increasingly complex work.
• Capture lessons learned and turn successful practices into repeatable standards for Fabcon’s Data Center Delivery playbook.
• Identify recurring constructability, installation, and execution issues and work across functions to eliminate them.

This role requires a highly collaborative operational leader who can manage complexity, earn credibility with customers, PMs and field teams, and connect multiple functions around successful execution. The ideal individual enjoys solving difficult problems, developing people, and helping build the operating model required to support Fabcon’s continued growth in the Mission Critical and data center market.

• Project Team Leadership – Leads Project Managers and project teams based on the scale and complexity of the assignment, establishing clear ownership, priorities, and accountability.

• Manages Complexity – Coordinates multiple projects, workstreams, stakeholders, and dependencies in a fast-paced Mission Critical environment.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Experience leading complex, large-scale construction projects, ideally within Mission Critical/data center, industrial, or similarly demanding environments.
• Strong understanding of project execution including scheduling, sequencing, logistics, field operations, and constructability.
• Demonstrated responsibility for project financial performance, including forecasting, cost management, change management, and risk identification.
• Experience leading customer relationships and coordinating across engineering, manufacturing, field operations, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
